Winter Break: Ten Crucial Days

Over 10 days in December 1776 and January 1777, George Washington carried out a series of strategic maneuvers and moves to bring the American army back from the brink. During Winter Break, explore the diverse stories of men and women in Pennsylvania and New Jersey who experienced “The Ten Crucial Days” with costumed interpretation and craft demonstrations. Learn about artist-soldiers, like Irish soldier Richard St. George. Meet costumed living history interpreters portraying Hessians and militiamen.
