History Museum and Museum of the American Revolution Present Program on Mrs. Benedict Arnold

Philadelphia, PA, November 14, 2012—Stephen H. Case and Mark Jacob, co-authors of Treacherous Beauty—Peggy Shippen, the Woman Behind Benedict Arnold’s Plot to Betray America—will discuss their book in a public program presented jointly by the Philadelphia History Museum and the Museum of the American Revolution.The program will take place on December 6, 2012 in the newly reopened Philadelphia History Museum where a portrait of Peggy Shippen is on display.Read more

Three New Members Join Board of Directors

PHILADELPHIA, October 11, 2012 –The Board of Directors of the American Revolution Center has elected Ray Halbritter, Oneida Nation Representative, Richard Vague, a private investor, and Gordon S. Wood, distinguished scholar of the American Revolution, to the Board of Directors. “These new Board members will further our mission to engage a broad public in the understanding of the American Revolution and its ongoing legacy,” said H.F. “Gerry” Lenfest, Chairman.
