Archaeological Excavation at Site of New Museum of the American Revolution Traces Philadelphia’s Transformation Since the 17th Century

Philadelphia, PA, May 20, 2016 — As the new Museum of the American Revolution rises on the corner of 3rd and Chestnut Streets, it marks a new phase in the transformation of a site that has a history as long as the city itself. A team of archaeologists uncovered much of that history during excavations prior to construction of the building, revealing how the site has changed since the 17th century.

Museum of the American Revolution Names Two New Board Members

Philadelphia, PA, April 27, 2016— At its April 13 meeting, the Board of Directors of the Museum of the American Revolution elected two new members: David C. Darnell and Morris W. Offit.

“David and Morris are both highly respected leaders in their industries, with long and distinguished careers,” said Museum Chairman H.F. (Gerry) Lenfest. “They have a genuine passion for preserving history, and continue to demonstrate their strong personal and professional commitment to our mission. Museum Selects Food Service & Retail Providers

PHILADELPHIA– January 14, 2016 – Michael C. Quinn, President and CEO of the Museum of the American Revolution today announced that Brûlée Catering was selected to provide food service for its café and catering facilities and Event Network was selected to operate the Museum’s gift shop. The Museum will open in spring 2017.  Quinn said, “Quality food service and engaging retail are two critical visitor amenities in the museum experience. We are delighted to have two extremely experienced and dedicated organizations partnering with us to provide these important services to our guests.”

Qubein Appointed to National Leadership Council for Museum of the American Revolution
